Description:

This walk follows city streets and goes through historic and residential areas of the borough. Littlestown is one of the older towns in Pennsylvania, dating back to 1734. It originally served as a stagecoach stop on the road from Baltimore to Pittsburgh. More than 13,000 soldiers spent the night in Littlestown on their way to the Battle of Hanover or the Battle of Gettysburg. In the first week after the Battle of Gettysburg, wounded Union soldiers were brought to Littlestown. Join us as we walk past historic churches and buildings dating back to the early 1700's.
