Park opens at 8 a.m. Of historical significance during the 2nd Seminole War. The shaded trail follows the 1830's Military Road which linked Fort Brooke (Tampa) with Fort Cooper and Fort King (Ocala). Event is part of the Walk Florida State Parks Program.

--3100 S. Old Floral City Rd. (352) 726-0315. From S.R. 44 in downtown Inverness, take U.S. 41 South to first traffic light (Eden Rd.) turn left (E), proceed 1 very short block to Old Floral City Rd., turn right onto Old Floral City Rd., follow signs to Park entrance. Park fee is $2 per vehicle. Walk box is at Ranger Station.
