The Friesenhaus is currently open for business from 8:00am-10:00pm, seven days a week. To confirm, especially if you are coming from a long distance, call 830/625-1040. The route follows city streets, goes thru parks, past the 1898 Courthouse and other historic structures, and along the shortest (2.5 miles) river in Texas, the Comal River.

Start Point:
|
148 S. Castell AVE, New Braunfels, TX 78130-5102. From I-35, take New Braunfels exit 187 and follow the signs to Seguin Street. Go approximately 1 mile to Coll Street. Turn left at the light, go one block and then turn right onto Castell Ave. The Friesenhaus Restaurant is on the left. Alternatively, continue on Seguin to the "PLAZA" in the exact center of town and go right around the circle. From the PLAZA, take the 3rd Plaza Exit and go one block on San Antonio Street to Castell AVE. Turn left at the light and drive one-half block to the Friesenhaus Restaurant on the right. A colorful mural covers one full side of the building and there is a large parking lot on the other side. At the restaurant, request the Walk Box ("Volksmarchers" case). Please be polite and not interfere with the restaurant operation. If you have a GPS, the coordinates are N 29 42.064, W 098 07.488.
