Description:
M-F 8:30-5; Sat 9-4; Sun 1-4. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. This walk is on sidewalks . It passes through historical residential areas, along the waterfront, and out to the Cape Fear Museum. It also goes by the Transportation Museum. View the USS North Carolina and visit the many shops and the Old City Market. Look for movies being made along the way.

Start Point:
24 N Third Street. Tourist info: 800-222-4757. From the west on I-40, when I-40 ends, take the first exit (marked "Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach 17/74"). At the traffic light, make a left turn onto Hwy US 17 South (Market Street) and follow Business US 17 to Third Street. Right on Third. From the North, take Business US 17 to Third Street and proceed as from the west. From the South on US 74, US 76, and US 17 North, cross the Cape Fear River Bridge, turn left at stoplight onto Third Street, cross Market Street and the Visitors Center is on the right.Parking: A parking deck for walkers is located 1/2 block past the Visitors Center on the left (minimal fee). On street parking is available with time limit meters.
