Description:
|
The walk will take you through quiet neighborhoods on sidewalks and streets, including a two-mile circuit of the Glendoveer Fitness Trail on bark dust around the golf course. Pets are not allowed at Glendoveer, but there is an alternate route available. Although strollers are used at Glendoveer, the trail is not wheelchair friendly. The 5k is rated 1.

Start Point:

1111 NE 102nd Ave., Portland, OR. From I- 205 northbound, take Exit 21A, Glisan St. Turn right on Glisan and go to 102nd Ave. Turn left on 102nd to first traffic light, Pacific St. Turn left on Pacific into the Fred Meyer parking lot. From I-205 southbound, take Exit 21A, Glisan Street. Turn left on Glisan and go to 102nd Ave and continue with directions above. From I-84 westbound, take Exit 9 to I-205 south (towards Salem), and take Exit 21A Glisan Street. Turn left on Glisan and go to 102nd Ave, turn left and continue with directions above. From I-84 eastbound, take Exit 7, Halsey/Gateway District and continue to second light (102nd Ave). Turn right on 102nd for two blocks and turn right into the Fred Meyer parking lot. Start box is inside 102nd Ave entrance. YOU WILL NEED TO DRIVE APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES TO THE GLENDOVEER FITNESS COURSE AT 148TH AND NE HALSEY TO BEGIN THE WALK.
